Please find attached the PowerPoint shared with Y5 children today about our forthcoming 'Fulwell Formula II' opportunity. All children have the chance to apply to be part of our team of 8 engineers who will work together to build a Greenpower Kit Car. Children will design, build and race the car exploiting their STEM skills across the next half term. Most sessions will take place during the school day (there may be some additional after school sessions on a Tuesday but children will be fully informed of these in advance).
The team will then attend a regional event at Gateshead Stadium on 28th June. All applications explaining why children would like to join the team should be returned to school by Thursday 20th April @ 9am. We will select our team using submitted applications, informal discussions and a teamwork task. Children who are successful will be informed no later than Monday 24th April. This is open to all Y5 children and we are really excited to get started on this incredible STEM opportunity!
