The Government introduced the PE Grant funding in the 2013-14 financial year in a bid to maintain the legacy of sporting success after the fantastic spectacle of the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. The funding has been released to schools in a bid to harness new sporting initiatives, develop the skills of staff in delivering a wider and enriched sporting curriculum, buy in new services to raise pupil interest in sport activity and provide a basis for sustained sporting improvement.

Schools are expected to provide an overview of how they have used their most recent allocations, and the wider impact this funding has had.
