It has been a quiet week in school so not much news to report...but just a few reminders about forthcoming events.....

Coming Up......Crowns & Tiara's Day to Celebrate the Diamond Jubilee:

 We will be hosting a theme day on Thursday 31st May to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Children and staff are encouraged to dress in Red, White and Blue with an emphasis on crown or tiara design! School meals that day will also have a Jubilee theme and the dining areas will be festooned with flags! It should be a great celebration!

  • Year 6 Bikeability Programme: The year 6 children will have an opportunity to learn cycling proficiency skills through the City of Sunderland's Right Track team. Download the information letter for more details:- Bikeability Programme May & June 2012
  •  Year 4 Performance : Thursday 31st May at 9.15am. The parents of all Year 4 children are invited to the Year Group performamce - an extravaganza of talent with a Jubilee theme!
  • Year 6 Visit : Hamsterly Forest To support the Year 6 studies in Geography and Science, the children will be visiting Hamsterly Forest on Thursday 24th May. It is a full day visit but children need to be at school BEFORE 8.30am as the coach will be departing then.   • E-Safety: Mr Robb has been highlighting e-safety with the children and we have put together a fact sheet for parents which you may find useful when discussing the importance of internet security with your own child. Click the link for further information:- E-Safety : Guidance for Parents
  • In-Service Dates : Don't forget, school breaks up for the half term holiday on Thursday 31st May and returns on Tuesday 12th June. After the summer break, children will return to school on Tuesday 4th September. Due to the Year 6 visit to Derwent Hill at the end of October, the in-service date originally planned for Friday 26th October has been moved to Monday 5th November - we apologise for any inconvenience.
