In the Gallery Now:- After School Clubs...Fruit Juice Testing....Easter Egg Competition....Nature Garden........

After School Clubs jump into action........

Environment Club:   The children have been learning about the properties of recycling. This fantastic collage was made of magazine and newspaper cuttings to emaphasise how we can all work together to look after our beautiful planet.         Here's Mr Hughes assisting in the sticking....and of course it was environmentally friendly glue that we used!

Stomp Club...getting creative with new instruments!  Stomp Club involves the children in making new sounds, music and movement using everyday household items!    Mums, keep an eye on your collanders! They make useful drums!

Board Games:  Mrs Jones has been introducing the children to new board games, involving concentration and stratedgy...and the usual disagreement of who will be the Top Hat in Monopoly!

You can almost feel the concentration....and that's just Mrs. Heslam!

Oh no! Kelsey has bought Mayfair!

Craft Club: A happy snap of Mrs. Harley's craft club children showing the hearts that they made. Lovely!

Class 3 Juice Testing:

Careful measuring from Toby and co! It's going to be an interesting colour!

It's a race to the top of the measuring cyclinder....Owen can't bear the excitement!

I think we are going to need more juice!

Well done to all our children who have made it into the Gallery! It certainly looks like everyone has been having a great time as well as learning something new!

Easter Egg Competition:-

This years theme supported the Olympics and the Queens Diamond Jubliee - there were certainly some wonderful entries. Unfortunately, we can't show them all but here is a collection of some of our favourites!

Fulwell Junior School Nature Garden Springs into Life!

After a lot of planning and investment, the nature garden is almost at completion. As you can see, we have a lovely new pond area, raised beds ready for planting and our fab new greenhouse. There is also a water spout and splash pool to enable children to fill their watering cans etc. We have a lot of equipment ready to use in the garden that we secured through the Morrisons 'Let's Grow' scheme and we hope to be putting that to good use very soon! We hope you like the look of the garden so far - it obviously takes time for plants to become established but we are delighted with how it is progressing!
